Dimitrios Nikolopoulos is a graduate of the Medical School of the University
of Athens. He specialized in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology in one
of the best clinics in Greece, in the 4th Orthopaedic Clinic of the General
Hospital “ASKLEPEION” in Voula, specializing in sports injuries and foot pathology.
Also specialized in pathology of hand in the Microsurgery Clinic of
Hospital “KAT”.
He deals particularly with Arthroscopic Restoration of Hip Pathology, after
his training next to Dr. Alexis Nogier, in the Clinic Maussins-Nollet in Paris.
He also deals with the arthroscopic rehabilitation of Sports Injuries of Knee,
Shoulder and ankle, as well as the treatment and surgical correction of
foot disorders.
Since 2004 he is a partner of the “CLINIC CENTRAL of ATHENS”, as the Central
Polyclinic of Fira in Santorini from 2011. Finally, during the last two years
he is working with the EUROCLINIC Athens.
From 2013 is Medical Director of the Group Medtourism Group engaged
in medical tourism in Greece.
He has written and published 37 original scientific articles in prestigious
scientific journals in the USA, Europe and Greece to discuss: Knee surgery
and shoulder (arthroscopic and minimally invasive new techniques), osteoporotic
spine and hip fractures, research in vitro environment on bone metabolism,
and there are more than 120 citations in research projects.
He has also presented in Greek and international level more than 150 oral
and poster presentations in the last decade, on the experience of the
Sports Injury Knee, Shoulder, and ankle joints, as in arthritis of the knee and
hip.
He is a Doctor of the University of Athens and a member of Greek Traumatology
and Orthopaedic Society, the Greek Arthroscopy Society, the
European Arthroscopy Association of Greek and European AO Trauma, the
Greek Foundation for Osteoporosis (EL.I.OS), as Affiliated Member of the
American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Orthopaedic Trauma
Association.
